Kenneth Frederick Baines, son of Charles and Catherine, was a private with the Cambridgeshire Regiment at the Battle of Singapore. He was captured by the Japanese and died of diptheria and malaria at Tambaya in Burma, 2 Oct 1943, aged 22.
