In 1908 Mrs Turvey led the Medical Missions Working Party at St John’s. She was the daughter of Joseph and Emily Clark who lived at 243 Hills Road. Edith had previously lived with her family before her marriage in 1900 at 4 Wilton Terrace Station Road. In 1901 Henry and Edith were living in Ordsall Nottinghamshire where he is described as a solicitor’s clerk and organist.
Sidney Bellman Clark, Edith’s brother, was living at this address at the time of WWI. He is described on military records as a musician. He was assigned to the Royal Engineers in 1915 but was discharged in 1916 as unfit for duty suffering from neurasthenia. He had been a student at the Perse Grammar and then Trinity College.
