Number 69 is one of a pair of terraced houses on the west side of Ainsworth Street.

The Electoral Register for 1886–1887 shows John Nichols Sanders living here.  He and his wife then moved to 64 Ainsworth Street between 1891 and 1900.

William and Martha Osmond had been married for 21 years.  They had had four children, three of whom had died.

William Osmond worked for builders Negus & Sons on Regent Street. His daughter Florence was a book keeper and typist for coal merchants Venter & Sons on Hills Road.

1939 register

Florence V E Baker, b. 19 Mar 1897, housewife
One child (closed record)

Electoral Registers show that Percy Baker was living here by 1922. He was born in 1888, the year his parents moved from 23 Ainsworth Street to 2 Stone Terrace on Stone Street.  He married Florence Flack in 1918 and was living at 75 Ainsworth Street in 1919 before moving to no. 69. He and Florence lived here until his death in 1942.
