Fanny Wale in ‘Shelford Parva’ writes:

Benoni was built by Mr King who built the shop next door.

Benoni or Ingleside is the name (given by Miss Gaol) to the Finch’s house, next to the Post office. She rented it in 1906 and sub-let it (when she went to Johannesburg South Africa) to Mr and Mrs perry Robinson.
