A ticket inspector & a baker
1881
Head of household in 1881 is Charles Moody, a 35 year old ticket inspector for the Great Eastern Railway. He was born in Needingworth, Huntingdonshire. Charles is married to Sarah, aged 34 and from Longstanton. The couple have two small children, William, 3, and Ellen, 2.
1891
In 1891, 37 Kingston Street is still home to the Moody family. Charles is now 45 and remains employed as Railway Ticket Inspector. Sarah Moody is now 44. They have 5 children: William, aged 13, a scholar; Ellen, aged 12; Anny, aged 9, a scholar; Frederica, aged 6, a scholar; and Olive, aged 3.
1901
By 1901, 37 Kingston Street is home to Martha Goode, a 32 year old living with her daughter, listed on the census as ‘D F A,’ who is one year old.
1911
In 1911, 37 Kingston Street was home to Elizabeth Smith, a 31 year old from Bury St. Edmunds. She is married to William Smith, a 36 year old Journeyman Baker from Cambridge. They have a 3 year old daughter, Dorothy.
