The CWN article on Catharine Street (8.10.1981) describes Bennetts as being at the same site as W G Undrill, 103 Catharine Street.
The same article refers to Edgar Norton who worked for Bennetts when he left school at 14. His job was to drive a pony and cart loaded with ammunition boxes made by Bennetts over to Chivers at Histon who filled them with tins of jam that was then sent to soldiers at the Front. “I was paid 2d an hour for this work,” he said.
