1906 postcard to E M Campbell.
2022 email from R S: I have discovered that Campbell was probably Edward McClure Campbell, an Irish-born physician, who was listed at 36 Warkworth Street in 1901 (census) and 1905 (Kelly’s Directory). He was evidently staying in a boarding house in Hunstanton during the summer of 1906, presumably with his wife Beatrice and son Dennis. The writer of the card (EWK) may have been a fellow pigeon-keeper as the writer states: There must have been a fight in the Columbarian last night, for this morning I found a young Blue Rock dead.’ I haven’t been able ot identify the initials.
