The ennumeration of the houses in 1911 demonstrates some of the problems that needed to be solved.
There were three unnumbered houses between 8 and 12. This had enabled no.9 to be allocated to a house on the other side of the road. Number 13 had been omitted presumably because the number 13 was not popular. In the 1913 ennumeration this was dealt with partially by the houses after no.8 being ennumerated 9, 10, 11, 12, 13. This meant that no. 12 was renumbered no.13. However it still left duplicates 9,10, 11 and 12 on the other side of the road!

On the West side the houses in 1913 were (modern numbers in brackets):
48, Oakthorpe (54)
47, Ferndale (52)
46, Rockwood (50)
