History of 28 Histon Road

1901

Susannah E Plumb,39, grocer shop keeper, b Six Mile Bottom

Francis G, brother, widower, 30, porter GER,  b Six Mile Bottom

Jasper Q, nephew, 6, b Chesterton

Kate G Ranner, niece, 17, grocers assistant, b Cambridge

Jasper Quincey Plumb, nephew, 16, grocers porter, b Chesterton

Florence Pearce, boarder, 40, b London

In 1913 Jasper’s father, Francis, is living in Hemingford Road. We could assume that he moved from his parents’ house to work for his aunt but it seems that it was his father who moved to a new home.

1917

Jasper Quincey Plumb: Private, 2nd/4th Battalion Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry. Died 22/08/1917. Age 22.
