History of Sin Cru

SIN Cru is a Hip Hop arts organisation based in North Cambridge. SIN stands for Strength In Numbers. It started in 1995 as a graffiti and Bboy (dance) crew called Sinstars, the purpose of which was to act in collective for like minded artists to support each other’s work and develop opportunities for the community. SIN Cru has delivered theatre, visual and performing arts, professional development and teaching projects over the years independently and in partnership with schools, arts venues, and other organisations. Notable projects include:

The historical flyers and posters are from the years 2001 onwards. There is footage that corresponds to these dates on the YouTube channel, along with videos of projects undertaken by the youth company mentioned above – the JNRS and a whole host of other heritage footage.
