Charles Robert Brooks: Private G/18122, 7th Battalion, Queen’s Own (Royal West Kent Regiment). Killed in action Friday 29th September 1916 in France & Flanders. Age 20. Born St Luke’s, Cambridge. Son of Joseph and Mary Brooks, of 67, Oxford Rd., Cambridge. Formerly 3663, Suffolk Yeomanry. Commemorated on THIEPVAL MEMORIAL, Somme, France. Pier and Face 11C.
