In 1861 Elizabeth Frisby is living in Harlton married to Daniel Gentle, grocer, 32. They have four children. Samuel Gentle is aged 2. In 1911 Samuel Gentle is living at 85a East Road.
In 2025 DM sent this note: It used to be the home of Augustin Brimley, who was a victualler for the city and became mayor of Cambridge in 1853. He employed a maid Elizabeth Frizby who was born in St albans. She Married Daniel Gentle of Orwell. They had a son Samuel Gentle who became a county councillor. He lived in East road and ran a haulage business using horses and carts. His Daughter Martha married Duncan Mackay who was one of the founders of Mackays Ironmongery business. Duncan’s son Donald became Mayor of Cambridge in 1978.
