In 1891 the Charles family were living at 29 Portugal Place. Their son was living at 3 Bridge Street. Henry Charles was a groom at St John’s College. This was a post held by his father. Both their wives were ‘bedders’ at the college. In 1871 Henry Charles lived at 4 Drummer Street.
