8 Searle Street

History of 8 Searle Street

1913

John N Stubbens, bootmaker

CN wrote in 2023: This was my grandad. He worked for Thrussell & Son and repaired shoes for the gentry. He worked from a shed in the bottom of the garden. I can smell soaking leather to this day. I was young when he died of liver cancer but remember vividly time spent in the shed.

1970
