History of 112 Broad Street

Ann Powell recalled: The other cottage was also intriguing. At one time it housed a young woman who was rather fond of the German prisoners of war. She nearly assisted one to be the ‘Second one who got away’. They were picked up halfway across the Channel in a rowing boat.
