Shire Hall ElyShire Hall, Ely
History of Shire Hall
Built in 1820, by the 1880s one wing housed the Armoury and orderly room of ‘H’ Company. 3rd Volunteer battalion of the Suffolk Regiment, whilst the other housed the city’s police station.
