Listed Building
Parish church. Late C13, C14 and major restoration of 1876 by R R Rowe. (Historic England)
The funds collected to build the spire during the C19 restoration were embezzled by someone who then fled to America.
Mabel Demaine recalled the custom of Tolling the Bell for any death in the village. It was tolled three times for a man, twice for a woman, and once for a child, with short intervals in between. The custom ended at the outbreak of World War I because church bells were only to be used in the event of an enemy invasion.
