Isleham Ferry OS 1881

According to Arthur Houghton at the Isleham Ferry was a pub called the Ferry Old House Chair. Its landlord was James Brown when on 3rd Mat 1850 Rev Spurgeon was baptised there, and then Miss Eunice Petch on the same day. Rev Spurgeon walked from newmarket to Isleham to be baptised, spent the night at the Manse, the minister being Rev Cantlow.
