Listed Building

House, c.1700 of local red brick, rendered except for one gable end, with C19 slate roof and original end parapets on kneelers. (Historic England)

In 1840 it was a girls’ school and the headmistress was Elizabeth Pyecroft.

Coffee house

1890 Dame School kept by Mrs Johnson, known as “Governess”.

Benjamin Diver lived here.
