Little Thetford Round House, 1937 (photo L Cobbett)

Round House, Little Thetford

History of the Round House

Vanishing Cambridgeshire p.175 notes that the origins of this building are uncertain. It was two three-storey  cottages until 1959 and then stood empty. By 1980 it had been turned into one dwelling.

Round House, Little Thetford (MoC364/75)

The note on this photo above says that the Round House was built in the 15th century as a lookout tower, later converted into two cottages, and last occupied in 1959. (MoC364/75)
