Town Pump at junction of Pratt Street and Station Road, Soham

4 Pratt Street, Soham

History of 4 Pratt Street

4 Pratt Street and the shop next door date to the early 19th century but their origins are earlier. The shop has interior woodwork of a late 16th century style. No. 4 has a 17th century look. (An Improving Town by Mac Dowdy (2007)

The Town Pump outside had two spouts, one high, one low. It was taken down after the waterworks opened in 1923.
