History of the Cottage, Brook Dam Lane

Mac Dowdy, An Improving Town, points out how little this house has changed over 200 years.

At this point horses could enter the river to drink. There were steps to help people draw water from the river.

A still waterway stretches past a stone cottage and a white picket fence, with a person seated on the fence in the foreground.

Brook Dam, Soham c1905

Harry Sizer lived in one of the cottages and hired out boats.
