History of White Cottage

RC emailed in 2026:

I rather think the cottage next door [23] was named Welland Cottage because my great grandmother, Mary Sharpe came from Spalding.  She worked as a maid at Sutton House, our family bible was given to her on her marriage by the Lord of the manor. Unfortunately , when my Aunt sold Troston, she threw a lot of invoices etc. that my Grandfather had kept.
