St Peter, Walpole St Peter

History of Walpole St Peter

Listed Building

Parish church. Early C14 base of west tower. Remainder of late C14 comprising nave, aisles and chancel. Restored 1898.

Passageway, Walpole St Peter c1900 (Daw)

The passageway under the high altar is believed to have come about because the builders of the church were refused permission to build over the road, so they created an arch.
