31, London Road, Godmanchester

History of 31 London Road

C16/C17. Timber-framed and roughcast.

According to Godmanchester (Sneath, 2011) this property my date back as far as 1380 – 1430. The dining room has fireplace with a witch mark on the beam; a mummified toad was also found. A former owner, Granville Rudd discovered numerous 17th and 18th cent. artefacts.
