Circa 1850. Built in three sections, all of white brick…. Said to be the oldest factory in Huntingdon district. Very important position at south end of Huntingdon Bridge.

The seven storey flour mill in the old picture was built in 1861 for Potto Brown just beside the hosiery mill. There was a chapel attached to the mill. Known as the Brown and Goodman flour mill with seven stories,  it was later demolished in 1969.

An earlier mill had been constructed in the 1840s for Charles Veasey. It was a linseed mill producing oil and cattle cake. In 1924 the mill was converted to make hosiery. In 1983 it was converted into residences.
