History of Oak Tree Cottage

Listed Building

C15 open hall with C17 cross-wing at left hand.

Dora Tack describes this as the thatched farmhouse of the White-Robinsons (which used to be the Old Red Cow public house). Jim Robinson and his wife Jinny sold greengrocery from a shed at the back of the farmhouse. His father, ‘Grandad Robinson’, and his mother also helped in the business.
