46 Market Place (Street), Queens Head, St Neots

History of 46 Market Place

The woman in the photo c.1905 was Naomi Smith, a local gypsy. She is standing outside the Queens Head Public House delicensed in 1908. Naomi had an unpredictable temper and local children were in fear. When she discovered her photo had been taken she threatened to throw a brick through the photographer’s shop window.
