Charles Wood who lived there from 1898 until his death in 1926. He was a lecturer in harmony and counterpoint at Cambridge University (1897-1924) and later Professor of Music (1924-6). He was also a Fellow of Gonville & Caius College (1894-1926), the first ever fellow of music in Cambridge. His centenary falls next year [2026].
