A couple of school teachers living in Newnham from 1937 to 1994 and 2010
Maurice and Marjory Howard lived in this semi-detached house from about 1937 until Maurice died aged 99 in 2010. Marjory died in 1994. They were classics graduates of Christ’s and Girton colleges respectively, and Maurice taught at the Leys School before becoming bursar of St Faith’s School. Marjory was an elder of the Society of Friends and helped to set up the local Fish scheme.
