History of 163 High Street

1861

Thomas Haird, 36, schoolmaster surveyor, b Cottenham

In 1798 the first Thomas Haird was appointed schoolmaster and parish clerk. He was the first son of William and Elizabeth haird and had been born in 1762. Upon his death in 1828 his son, Thomas Haird replaced him.
