1850:

Freeman Goode

location of start of 1850 Great Fire


1851:

John Chambers opened the Cottenham Supply Stores


1881:

John M Goode, 30, farmer and miller of 170 acres employing 11 men 2 boys, b Cottenham

Ann, mother, 61, b Cottenham

Harriett Skinner, 19, servant, b Cottenham


c. 1882 William ‘Billy’ Graves became proprietor of the Supply Stores


1901:

William C Graves, 46, store keeper, b Cottenham

Selena, 49, b Cottenham

Edith S, 17, drapers apprentice, b Cottenham

Beatrice I, 13, b Cottenham

Sophia Beeton, 17, servant, b Balsham


It was later used for several drapery businesses and then as a car showroom.

In 1990s it was renovated and turned into flats.
