5, 7, 9, and 11 Newton Road, Little Shelford

History of cottages on Newton Road

Fanny Wale describes four cottages built by the Marhsalls, father and son, between 1894 and 1907:

  1. Mr and Mrs Peters, formerly Ada Tabor
  2. Mr and Mrs Freeman, strangers
  3. Mrs George Webb née Elbourn, widow of tailr who died in 1902.
  4. Smith, gardener to M F O Bagnall at the Red House, and then at Little Shelford Rectory.
