Saintfoins, Little Shelford by Fanny WaleFanny Wale writes at length in Shelford Parva about this property. The name comes from the herb of the same nae that was cultivated in the area. there was a walled-in garden, coach houses and stables.

1860 Hamer Towgood bought the estate from Colonel R C Wale. Hamer Towgood became well-known as an exhibitor of horses and cows.
1914 Hamer Towgood died. He owned the paper mills at Sawston. His nephew, James Towgood, took over management of the paper-mill.
