Harry Carter, 28, in 1901 census, was my grandma’s father. She was Susan Anne Carter aged 6 months in 1901, they lived at 47 Dolphin Lane. She went to Torquay with a friend from Yorkshire and married my grandad there in 1920. Harry worked on the farm. My mum Thelma visited there, as a child in the 20s/30s. My mum’s 100 now!
