1900 Methodist services were held at the school

1903 09 10 — St John’s Infants’ School threatened with closure
Location: St John’s Infants’ School, Blinco Grove

The school was to close because the abominable condition of the approach road made attendance almost impossible during wet weather. Average attendance had fallen from 74 to 49. Although the building had been condemned three years earlier, its managers had continued operating it until the County Council declined to take it over.
