History of 26 Queen Edith's Way

1935:

Rev R F Rattray PhD, Unitarian minister

In 1934 Rev Rattray (Minister of the Memorial Church Cambridge, formerly Principal of University College Leicester) gave a radio broadcast entitled ‘What I Believe’. He was the first principal of the University of Leicester. He was also one of the first committee members of The Voluntary Euthanasia Society which was set up in 1935.


1939:

Robert F Rattray, b 1886, Unitarian Minister

Clara M C H, b 1885,

R F Rattray was chair of the RSPCA Cambridge branch and an influential member of the national RSPCA governing council.
