George Ranner

[George and Celia married in 1879 and lived in 1881 at 46 Mill Road]


1911:

George Ranner, 55, railway good guard, b Borough Green

Celia Anne, 58, b Brinkley

Sidney Charles, 30, college clerk, b Cambridge

Kate Ethel, 27, b Cambridge

Henry John, 21, assistant furniture trade, b Cambridge

Frank, 19, clerk at University Registry, b Cambridge

Jane Plumb,16, b Cambridge

George William, 12, b Cambridge

Henry John Ranner worked at Eaden Lilley’s and joined up with the Cambridgeshire Regiment in 1916. In November 1917 he was taken prisoner at the Battle of Cambrai and imprisoned until the end of the war.

In 1939 Henry, George and Jane were living at 185 Cherry Hinton Road.
