Number 64 is one of a terrace of four houses with front gardens on the east side of Ainsworth Street.

The house is listed as uninhabited in the 1881 census.

1891 census

The head of household was John Nichols Sanders, a journeyman baker born in Cambridge, and his wife Elizabeth Mayle Sanders (née Otley), born in Ely. The Electoral Register shows them living at 69 Ainsworth Street between 1886 and 1887.

Their boarder in 1891, B J F Miller, must be the Beton (or Beeton) J Miller listed in 1901 (see below). It is not clear whether he was related to either John or Elizabeth Sanders, but they probably provided him with the opportunity to attend school.

John Sanders died in 1900. His profession was given as bill poster.

Elizabeth Sanders lived at no. 64 until her death in 1907.  She and John are buried in Mill Road Cemetery.

Henry and Charlotte have been married for nine years. They had one child who died.
