The Old English Gentleman in Fitzroy Street adjoined Wesson’s Brewery and had been in the Wesson family for 70 years. The accommodation was good and the rooms were spacious, lofty and airy. It had a good bottle and jug department, a good bar, billiard room, smoke room, cellar and bedroom accommodation.
