Sir Frank Whittle inventor of the jet engine lived in Trumpington while a student
Sir Frank Whittle (1907-96), an aeronautical engineer who invented the jet engine, lived at 12 Hauxton Road, Trumpington while a student at Cambridge University in the 1930s.
