Leonard East, Sapper 2072258, 287th Field Company, Royal Engineers, with them on 1st September 1939. Died on Monday 26th January 1942. Age 20. Born and resident Cambridgeshire. Son of Amos and Elizabeth East, of Cherry Hinton, Cambridge. No known grave. Commemorated on SINGAPORE MEMORIAL, Singapore. Column 40.
