History of 4 Portland Place

Richard Eroner[Marawner on birth register] Harrison: Private 1349, “D” Company, 1st Battalion, Cambridgeshire Regiment. Died in England Wednesday 6th December 1916. Age 24. Born and enlisted Cambridge. Son of the late Alfred and Mary Harrison; husband of Alice Maud M. Shering (formerly Harrison), of 4, Portland Place, New Square, Cambridge. Buried in CAMBRIDGE CITY CEMETERY, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire. Grave D. 2490. (Cambridge Gas Roll of Honour) In 1911 the Harrison family were living at 259 Newmarket Road.
