Listed building:
Parish church of C12 and C14 origins, but almost completely rebuilt in early C15 by Reverend Thomas Patesley, d.1411. In 1798 the west tower collapsed and was rebuilt further to the east within the nave. In C19 the chancel and the fenestration of much of the church was restored.

Edward Leopold Milner-Barry, Lieutenant Commander. Died 7/05/1917 aged 50. Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve – HMS Wallington. Buried Great Shelford (St. Mary) Churchyard. Husband of E Milner-Barry of 50 De Freville Avenue, Cambridge. On Naval-History his death is recorded on 17th May 1917:

In 1901, Harry, 57, and Emma, 58, Loyd (sic) were living on Cherry Hinton Road, Great Shelford. He was a miller at a flour mill.
In 1861, John, 53, and Rebecca, 43, were living on the High Street, Great Shelford. He was a shoemaker. She was born in Comerton, she in Fen Ditton.
