Approx location of Harper household. The White House in the 1911 is the last house listed in the lane and it is two away from the Harper house. On the map it is probably one of the cottages set back from the road next to a ‘W’.

Percy enlisted in the Cambridge Volunteer battalion in 1914. He would have joined up at the same time as Alfred Day and Sidney George Williamson. All three lied about their age. Percy would have been 17. He died on the first day of the Battle of Somme aged 19.
