School Lane Cottages Haslingfield

School Lane cottages, Haslingfield

History of School Lane cottages

Coprolite was dug in this area from 1850. As a result the population increased over the next 20 years from 754 in 1854 to 871 by 1871 and back down to 550 by 991.

Some of the eight cottages have lions on their guttering and a variety of different chimney pot shapes.
