Excavations at Little Isleham moated site and Isleham Bronze Hoard in 2000
In 2000 an investigation took place t0 relocate the find spot for the Isleham Hoard, the largest collection of Bronze Age metalwork ever found in the British Isles (1959).
Evidence was also found of the village, manor and church of Little Isleham which had disappeared by the early post-medieval period. Traces of medieval fishpond found.
