On this 1901 map the smithy can be identified as ‘Smy’ just north west of the junction of Royston Road and Church Street.

In 1901 Alfred Pack is a blacksmith aged 32 living on Romsey Road, Cambridge, with his wife Frederica, 30, and son, Walter H, 3.
