Listed Building
C17 cottage situated within the moated site of Stonely Priory and formerly known itself as Stonely Priory. Possibly a stable built of reused stone converted in C19 to a dwelling.
The Priory was believed by Leland to have been funded during the latter half of the 12th century by William Mandeville, rather of Geoffrey. The house never became very large or prosperous.
The only remaining trace of the priory is the earthworks.
