Arnold Clarkson Ingle continued the family medical practice in Cambridge. He retired early to devote himself to voluntary work with the Baptist Missionary Society, visiting China and Japan in 1919 for eight months as President of the Medical Missionary Auxiliary.

In 1910 W H Bowen went to Cambridge and became aurist and assistant surgeon at Addenbrookes Hospital. Later he became full surgeon at Addenbrookes. After retirement he devoted his energies to literary work, publishing a book on Charles Dickens and his family.
